You see, I heard them young folks talkin’ ’bout them fancy watches, them Rolex ones. And this one, this two-tone blue Submariner, they say it’s somethin’ special. I don’t know much ’bout these things, but I hear it’s a real popular one. They say the real ones, they cost more than a whole farm! But then I hear there’s these, what do they call ’em, high imitation ones. They look just like the real deal, but they don’t cost ya an arm and a leg.
Now, I ain’t one for fancy things, but I gotta say, that blue and gold, it’s kinda pretty. They call it two-tone. And this Submariner, that’s the name, right? It’s a big name, I guess. These high imitation Rolex, they’re all over the place, it seems. You go down to the market, and you see folks sellin’ ’em. They say they’re just as good. I don’t know ’bout that, but they sure do look shiny.
They say these Rolex Submariner, they’re for divin’ and such. We ain’t got no ocean ’round here, just the ol’ creek. But I guess if you’re into that kinda thing, it’s a good watch to have. And these high imitation ones, well, they probably wouldn’t hold up in the water, but who’s gonna be divin’ with a watch that looks that good anyway? Just wear it to show off, I reckon. That’s what them young folks do.

I seen some of these specialty stores, they got all kinds of these high imitation Rolex. Rows and rows of ’em. All shiny and new. They got all the colors too, but that two-tone blue Submariner, that’s the one everyone’s talkin’ ’bout. They say it’s a luxury thing. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds expensive.
Some folks, they say these high imitation ones are no good. They say you gotta get the real deal. But who’s got that kinda money? Not me. I’d rather spend my money on somethin’ useful, like a new plow or some chickens. But I guess some folks like to spend their money on these fancy watches. It is their money after all.
This one fella, he was tellin’ me about the numbers on these watches. He said some numbers, like 116613LB, are important. That’s on the two-tone blue Submariner. And then there’s another number, 116234, I think he said that’s for a different one. I don’t know what all that means, but he seemed to think it was mighty important.
These watches, they’re made of metal, you know. Shiny metal. Some of ’em are all silver-colored, they call that steel. But this two-tone one, it’s got gold on it. Not real gold, mind you, just gold-colored. But it looks real enough, I guess. They say that gold is expensive, why they put it on watches I don’t know.
They say these two-tone Submariner, they’re heavier than the other ones. Because of the gold, you see. Not much gold, though. Just a little bit. On the links, and the, what do they call it, the crown? And the bezel, that’s the ring around the face. They say it makes ’em more special. And they say they’re less common, these two-tone ones. That’s why they cost more, I reckon.
Now, there’s other watches, not just Rolex. I heard them talking about a Bulova, something called a Marine Star. They say it looks like the Rolex Submariner, but it ain’t as fancy. It’s made of that steel stuff, but it’s shiny, like the Rolex. They say it’s a good watch if you don’t wanna spend all that money on a Rolex. I reckon that makes sense.
These specialty stores, they sell all kind of these watches. The real ones and the high imitation ones. You gotta be careful, though. Some folks, they’ll try to sell you a high imitation one and tell you it’s real. You gotta know what you’re lookin’ for. But if you just want somethin’ that looks nice, and you don’t care if it’s real or not, then these high imitation ones, they’re probably alright.
I heard them talkin’ ’bout a real rare one, a Rolex, of course. They said it was a 5517, or somethin’ like that. And it was based on another one, a 5513. I don’t know what all that means, but they said it was real special, real rare. Probably costs more than my whole house! These collectors, they go crazy for these rare ones.
Well, that’s all I know ’bout these high imitation Rolex two-tone blue Submariner and specialty stores. It’s a lot of fuss over a watch, if you ask me. But I guess some folks like that kinda thing. Me, I’ll stick to my old timex. It tells the time just fine, and I don’t have to worry ’bout it gettin’ scratched or stolen. That’s just me, though.
