This here thing, this OMEGA, it’s called Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, you hear? Some folks, they call it the “Moon watch”. It ain’t just any old watch. This one, it’s special. They say it went to the moon! Can you believe it?
Now, I heard this watch, this OMEGA Speedmaster, it’s been around a long time. Back in ’66, they had this one, they called it 105.012. Then they changed it up, made it 145.012. These two, they’re the ones that went to the moon.
Big Watch, Small Look

Now, this one I’m talkin’ about, it’s got a see-through back. They call it transparent case back. You can see all the little parts movin’ around inside.
They got different kinds of these Speedmaster Professional watches. Some got this clear back, some don’t. This one with the see-through back, they say it’s got a special… whatchamacallit… movement.
Some folks, they like to change things up. They take off the back, put on a new one. This fella, Thomas Preik, he makes these clear backs. Heard they’re pretty good. Fits on all kinds of Speedmasters, they say.
Cleaning and Such
Gotta keep your watch clean, you know. Don’t want it gettin’ all gunked up. How you clean it, though, I ain’t too sure.
I seen some talk about different numbers on these watches. 1861, 1863, somethin’ like that. Don’t rightly know what it all means.
This one time, someone’s watch, it just stopped. Stopped workin’ altogether. Must’ve been a real pain.
Steel Back or See-Through?
Some of these Moonwatches, they got a steel back. Can’t see through it. Others, like this one, they got that clear back. Folks wonder about that steel back, why it’s there.
