Hey everyone, today I’m gonna do something a little wild – I’m gonna remake a PRADA Re-Edition 1995 Chaine Re-Nylon Mini-Bag. Yeah, you heard that right, the one that’s been all over TikTok and on the arms of, like, every celeb ever. So, let’s get into it.
First off, I started doing some digging on this bag. I mean, it’s a PRADA, so obviously, it’s gonna be a big deal. Turns out, this bag is made from at least 50% recycled or upcycled materials. They call it Re-Nylon, which sounds pretty cool. It’s got this padding and top-stitching thing that makes it look super luxe.
Now, onto the actual making part. I began by gathering all the materials I needed. Since it’s made of Re-Nylon, I tried to find something similar – recycled, of course. It’s not just about the look, it’s about that whole eco-friendly vibe too, right?
Finding the Right Material
- I visited a few fabric stores in town, looking for that perfect material.
- Ended up finding this fabric that’s made from recycled stuff. Felt pretty good about that.
Next, I started cutting the fabric. I’m not a pro at this, but I followed a basic pattern I found that kinda matched the PRADA bag’s shape. Then came the sewing part. I borrowed my neighbor’s sewing machine – that thing’s older than me but works like a charm. I did the top-stitching, trying to copy that fancy look the original bag has.

Finally, I stepped back and looked at what I made. It’s not a perfect replica, but it’s got that PRADA Re-Edition 1995 vibe. Plus, it’s made from recycled materials, which is a big win in my book. I even took it out for a spin, and let me tell you, it felt pretty awesome carrying it around.
