Maybe it’s them shiny things. Or maybe it’s the name, Fendi. I hear that’s a big deal in the city. Like them fancy cars, you know, the ones that go real fast and cost more than a house? It’s like that, but for purses.

I guess if you’re going to a fancy party, or maybe to one of them big-city weddings, then maybe you’d want one of these bags. You can put your lipstick in it. And you can put it on your arm, and it’ll look real pretty, all shiny and new. But it will not fit much in there. It is very small.
And them specialty stores, they’re the only place to get ’em. At least, that’s what I hear. You can’t just go down to the general store and pick one up. You gotta go to one of them fancy places. I think it is like a show, to go there. Like going to the theater or something like that.
